Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by TechCar B.V., registered at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, located at Antonie van Leeuwenhoekweg 1-5, 2408 AH Alphen aan den Rijn, the Netherlands.
1. Definitions
- TechCar: TechCar B.V., the provider of services.
- Client: any natural or legal person entering into an agreement with TechCar.
- Services: all services offered by TechCar, including but not limited to detailing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, wrapping, window tinting, performance upgrades, and consignment sales.
- Vehicle: the car or other motor vehicle entrusted to TechCar for servicing.
2. Applicability
These terms apply to all quotations, offers, agreements, and services provided by TechCar. Deviations are only valid if confirmed in writing by TechCar.
3. Quotations & agreements
- All quotations are without obligation and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- An agreement is established when the client accepts a quotation — in writing, digitally, or by handing over the vehicle.
- TechCar reserves the right to adjust the agreed price if, upon inspection, the condition of the vehicle requires significantly more work than initially estimated. The client will always be informed and asked for approval before additional work is carried out.
4. Execution of services
- TechCar carries out all services to the best of its ability and in accordance with the standards of good craftsmanship.
- Stated lead times are indicative and are not strict deadlines. TechCar will inform the client of any significant delays.
- The client must provide accurate and complete information about the vehicle, including any known defects, modifications, or damage.
5. Pick-up & delivery
- TechCar offers pick-up and delivery services within the Randstad region. Availability and costs will be communicated upon booking.
- During transport, the vehicle is insured under TechCar's business insurance. The client must report any existing damage before handover.
- The client is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is accessible at the agreed pick-up time and location.
6. Prices & payment
- All prices are in euros. Prices for consumers include VAT; prices for business clients exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is due upon completion of services, unless agreed otherwise.
- For services exceeding €1.000, TechCar may request a deposit of up to 50%.
- In case of late payment, TechCar is entitled to charge the statutory (commercial) interest rate and reasonable collection costs.
- TechCar retains the right of retention: the vehicle will not be released until all outstanding invoices are paid.
7. Cancellation
- The client may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the agreed appointment.
- For cancellations within 48 hours, TechCar may charge up to 25% of the quoted amount.
- For services already in progress, cancellation is subject to payment for work performed and materials used.
8. Warranties & coatings
- Ceramic coatings come with the manufacturer's warranty, the terms of which will be provided upon delivery.
- The warranty is valid provided the client follows TechCar's care instructions and completes recommended maintenance.
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, improper washing, chemical exposure, or wear and tear from normal use.
- Paint correction and polishing results are permanent in the sense that removed defects do not return. New scratches or damage after delivery are not covered.
9. Wrapping & window tinting
- Film products (wrap and tint) have a limited lifespan that depends on use, maintenance, and environmental factors. TechCar will inform the client about expected lifespan upon booking.
- Minor imperfections (e.g. minimal lifting at deep recesses) may occur and are inherent to the wrapping process.
- TechCar is not liable for damage to underlying paint if the original paint was already in poor condition prior to wrapping.
10. Performance services
- Performance upgrades (chip tuning, exhaust modifications, suspension, etc.) may affect the vehicle's manufacturer warranty. The client is responsible for verifying implications with their dealer or lease company.
- TechCar performs all modifications in accordance with professional standards but does not guarantee that modifications are road-legal in every jurisdiction. The client is responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations.
11. Consignment sales
- Consignment terms are agreed upon in a separate consignment agreement between TechCar and the vehicle owner.
- TechCar acts as intermediary and is not a party to the sale between seller and buyer unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- TechCar charges a commission as agreed in the consignment agreement. No sale, no commission — unless the consignment period is terminated early by the owner.
12. Liability
- TechCar is insured for professional liability. Any liability is limited to the amount covered by our insurance in the relevant case.
- TechCar is not liable for pre-existing defects, hidden damage, or conditions that could not reasonably be identified prior to commencing work.
- The client must report any complaints within 7 days of delivery. TechCar will assess the complaint and, if justified, remedy the issue at no additional cost.
- TechCar is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, or costs of alternative transport.
13. Force majeure
In case of force majeure (including but not limited to supply chain disruptions, extreme weather, or government measures), TechCar may suspend or terminate the agreement without being liable for damages.
14. Intellectual property
Photos and videos made by TechCar of vehicles during or after service may be used for marketing purposes (website, social media) unless the client objects in writing. No personal data (license plates, owner information) will be visible.
15. Applicable law & disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If this is not possible, the competent court in The Hague has exclusive jurisdiction.
